Job Description

The Revenue Recognition Senior Associate plays a crucial role in the revenue recognition team, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Review: Perform detailed reviews of contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and US GAAP.
  • Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts.
  • Audit Support: Assist with quarterly and annual external audits, providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests.
  • Relationship Management: Manage multiple internal relationships within the organization, including Operations, General Ledger Accounting, IT, etc.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Perform various ad hoc revenue analysis and reporting as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • B Com graduate with 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably revenue accounting.
  • Public Accounting and/or professional services or IT industry experience is highly preferred.
  • CA / CPA certification or pursuing a CA/CPA is a plus.

Familiarity with Accounting Standards:

Familiarity with the ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is essential. Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, are required. Workday experience is a plus.
