Senior Revenue Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of revenue accounting under US GAAP, specifically ASC 606, and play a critical role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely recognition of revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end revenue recognition process in compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606), ensuring accurate data flow and contract interpretations.
  • Analyze customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition treatment, leveraging advanced Excel skills and analytical mindset.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Delivery, HR) to ensure seamless data exchange and contract interpretations.
  • Prepare revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes, maintaining high levels of precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely follow-up for prompt collections from customers, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls over revenue recognition processes, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Support external and internal audits, providing detailed documentation and analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate on process improvement initiatives and automation of revenue reporting and reconciliation, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Provide guidance and support to other parts of Finance, contributing to a cohesive and effective team environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred), with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in revenue recognition or technical accounting, with a proven track record of success and growth.
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606, with expertise in complex accounting concepts and regulations.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, ZOHO Books, XERO, or other accounting software, with proficiency in advanced features and functionality.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with ability to analyze and interpret large datasets, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible and adaptable in response to changing circumstances.
