">Site Reliability Engineering Role">

The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Terraform scripts for various tools and technologies, working directly with the phData Provision Tool and related infrastructure tooling, automating environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain efficient Terraform scripts to support various tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless operations, including AWS IAM, RSA key management, and 1Password Vault usage.
  • Implement automation techniques to streamline environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices.
  • Understand customer requirements, solutions, and project KPIs to deliver effective results.
  • Design and implement development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure to support business objectives.
  • Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
  • Review, verify, and validate software code developed in the project.
  • Troubleshoot techniques and coordinate bug fixes with developers.
  • Monitor processes during the entire lifecycle for adherence and update or create new processes for improvement in a lean manner.
  • Plan and build automated processes where possible.
  • Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.
  • Select and deploy CI/CD tools and pipelines.
  • Build continuous integration, development, and deployment pipelines for various technologies and platforms.
  • Mentor team members on DevOps collaboration.
  • Monitor and measure customer experience and KPIs.
  • Plan team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.
  • Coordinate communication within the team and with customers.
  • Manage stakeholders and external interfaces.
  • Provide periodic reporting on progress to management and customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience with chaos engineering or resilience testing.
  • Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Ability to write clear runbooks and perform postmortems.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, FiveTran, DBT Cloud, Kafka, Cassandra, etc.
  • Contributions to improving SRE practices, such as error budgets and blameless postmortems.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, Jenkins, ArgoCD, JMeter, Newman, Elasticsearch/Kibana, Prometheus, Java, .NET, Python, shell scripting, Linux, Windows.
  • Strong Linux background and thorough knowledge in DevOps practices and concepts.
