Reliability Engineer - Condition Monitoring Specialist

About the Role:

Our team is looking for Condition Monitoring Specialists with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background to join our reliability team. This role involves real-time monitoring of equipment health data such as vibration, temperature, and electrical parameters for rotating machinery and critical industrial assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze equipment health data (vibration, temperature, electrical parameters, etc.) using specialized condition monitoring software and dashboards.
  • Review incoming alerts and tickets, classify them based on severity, and ensure timely response.
  • Validate and investigate anomalies, reducing false positives and ensuring accurate escalations.
  • Escalate critical equipment issues to relationship managers or maintenance teams with detailed supporting data and insights.
  • Maintain accurate records of monitoring activities, alerts, and escalation actions.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent and efficient monitoring practices.
  • Provide detailed shift handovers to maintain continuity of operations across teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to continuously improve monitoring and reporting processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong foundational understanding of rotating machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring data types like vibration analysis, temperature trends, and current signatures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify abnormal patterns in data.
  • Effective communication skills for clear reporting and escalation.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Desirable Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with condition monitoring systems and tools.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques such as Vibration Analysis.
