Procurement Strategist

A critical role that involves leading end-to-end sourcing initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Utilize expertise in RFPs, contract negotiations, vendor management, and compliance to drive procurement strategies forward.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and sourcing best practices to strengthen category management and improve operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, and analytical abilities to influence stakeholders and drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sourcing projects with a focus on value, speed, compliance, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop effective procurement strategies.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and ensure compliance with regulations and audits.
  • Manage contracts and third-party relationships, including data privacy and OCIR agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and buying channel optimization.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in technology procurement within financial services.
  • Strong expertise in RFPs, contract negotiations, vendor management, and compliance.
  • Proven experience in contractual review and redlining.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across divisions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in operational/core sourcing teams in technology.
  • Regulatory remediation experience (data privacy, OCIR, etc.).
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and governance practices.
