As a technical leader in mobile development, you will oversee the design and implementation of our cross-platform mobile apps. This includes managing architectural solutions collaboratively with your team and engineering leadership to build and scale our mobile products.

You will write production code regularly as a core contributor while maintaining oversight of your team's technical deliverables.

Your responsibilities will also include owning operational excellence for your team's systems, including monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements.

Furthermore, you will lead a team of software engineers, identifying skill gaps, managing personal development plans, and fostering a positive culture of learning, ownership, and psychological safety.

We are looking for someone who has owned solution design for complex features within mobile apps before and has worked with applications used at scale or which were mission critical to their customer.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mobile system design, demonstrate well-reasoned decision-making, and be able to navigate between detail and broader context.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will need to move from conversations with non-technical stakeholders to reframing projects into detailed designs and requirements for your engineering team.

Prior experience with React Native is highly valued, and experience with payment or mobile banking solutions is a plus.

Our technical stack includes React Native for cross-platform mobile development, a modern graphql-based API, extensive application monitoring tools, and a backend built on a serverless, event-driven system architecture running on AWS.
