Job Title: Project Scheduler Consultant

A project scheduler consultant is a key professional responsible for coordinating the planning and execution of projects within the construction industry.

  • The successful candidate will report to the Project Controls Manager or equivalent, working closely with other team members to ensure that all schedules are accurately maintained and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and update project schedules in MS Project and/or P6, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Develop and implement efficient scheduling tools to manage project timelines and resource allocation.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, site superintendents, and direct field staff to gather and input progress data.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly reports highlighting variances to current baselines, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records of project scope modifications and contribute to change order submissions.
  • Support portfolio management by monitoring and controlling multiple projects across various regions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in scheduling, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Advanced Excel.
  • Prior experience as a scheduler, coordinator, or project manager is highly desirable.
  • Certifications such as PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE International's Earned Value Professional (EVP) are considered an asset.
