Job Description:

This role involves leading complex initiatives to mitigate risks with broad impact. As an Operational Risk Management Specialist, you will work directly with senior global leaders and local reporting managers on location-specific governance.

You will perform reviews on transitions, controls opinions/acknowledgments, second-line engagements, and support functions to meet Business Continuity Management goals and control coverage requirements.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with business group managers, onshore/offshore partners to understand and analyze processes, identify risks, evaluate controls, and provide end-to-end issue management support.

The ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of risk management principles and be responsible for ensuring appropriate control coverage is provided for the assigned business group.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management or Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to evaluate changes to laws, processes, etc. to assess impacts and develop implementation plans.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational risk management and operations process management.
  • Understanding of US banking regulatory requirements and ability to apply product/domain knowledge to improve/add value to processes.
  • Familiarity with various quality assurance techniques, issue verification frameworks, and role of issue oversight, audit, or internal controls assessment experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services regulations, compliance, policies, processes, and procedures.

Benefits:

Closely working with Global Domain Associations (GDAs), you will facilitate issues throughout the lifecycle, including root cause identification, corrective action development, and RCSA alignment.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with control forums and providing necessary reporting for the assigned business group.
