Lease Accounting Specialist

This position involves handling lease accounting tasks, which entails maintaining and updating schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain and update lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842 standards
- Prepare and post journal entries related to lease liabilities and right-of-use assets
- Participate in the monthly close process and account reconciliations
- Coordinate with relevant teams, including Real Estate and Legal
- Monitor critical lease dates for timely updates
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to lease accounting or real estate accounting
- Familiarity with ASC 842 principles and lease accounting best practices
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
- Familiarity with lease accounting software such as Yardi, CoStar, or Lucernex
Lease accounting plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting. The chosen candidate will need to possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
In addition, they should be proficient in using various software tools and have the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
The selected individual will contribute to maintaining the integrity of our financial records and help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
