Plant Operations Director

The role of Plant Operations Director is to lead a team and oversee the production strategy and operational alignment within a manufacturing site. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving productivity, quality and profitability through lean methodologies, robust preventive maintenance systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing overall leadership to the plant, ensuring effective communication between teams and aligning production strategy with business goals
  • Implementing zero-defect systems and achieving on-time delivery targets, resulting in high-quality products and customer satisfaction
  • Leading cost-reduction programs and Kaizen activities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, quality, supply chain and engineering teams to drive business growth and improve processes
  • Ensuring compliance with Quality and Environmental Management System standards and ESG protocols, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Building and developing high-performing teams with clear succession planning, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Driving performance management systems and maintaining strong industrial relations, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong expertise in lean manufacturing processes, with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing waste
