Job Title: Academic Leader in Industrial Design

We are seeking an experienced and qualified individual to fill the role of Academic Leader for our Product Design department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to develop and implement academic programs that align with our institution's mission and vision.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Product Design program to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and stays relevant.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the institution to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
  • Oversee student recruitment efforts, working closely with colleagues to identify and attract top talent.
  • Plan and manage resources effectively to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Establish relationships with industry experts to provide students with valuable learning experiences and networking opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in industrial design.
  • Total 15+ years of experience with minimum of 5 years experience in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and developments in the field of industrial design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
