Job Title: Corporate Communications SpecialistThe Media and Communication Office is responsible for all communication, textual and visual, that the university carries out in its name. It aims to develop the university as a brand in the design education space, communicate developments through various platforms, conduct effective public relations, and be the custodian of all communication carried out in the university's name.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for inputs on media stories;
  • Curate stories that raise the university's profile, collaborate with offices, faculty, designers, and creative teams for PR content;
  • Support agency management and agreed deliverables;
  • Prepare and maintain an Editor/Journalist Database covering regional, national media across print, TV, digital (including podcasts) relevant to the university;
  • Build data-driven metrics for PR insights/effectiveness, assist the Lead PR in internal and external outreach.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess a strong understanding of editorial/newsroom workings across print, TV, digital, etc.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills;
  • Strong news sense and ability to prepare pitches;
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a multi-stakeholder environment;
  • Proven track record of commitment to project deadlines;
  • Well-versed with writing forms such as news, features, anchors, comments, etc.
  • High degree of customer orientation.
