Director of Apparel Acquisition

Job Overview:
The Deputy Director – Menswear Buying will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic procurement plans and policies to optimize buying processes. This individual will lead and oversee the apparel buying team, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services, while negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic buying strategies
- Lead and manage the buying team
- Negotiate contracts with vendors
- Monitor market trends and vendor performance
- Collaborate with internal departments
- Implement cost-saving initiatives
- Evaluate vendor capabilities
Requirements:
- 10 to 15 Years of experience in menswear buying and product development
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain management preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management
- Excellent analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing strategies and industry best practices
