Job Summary

Key to driving financial efficiency and profitability, we are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to oversee all cost management functions.

Responsibilities

  • Cost Management:
  • Develop product-wise profitability analysis and gross margin reports.
  • Prepare monthly cost sheets, standard costing, and inventory valuations (raw material, packing material, semi-finished, and finished goods).
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and compare actual costs with standard costs.
  • Collect and analyze historical cost data for budgeting and forecasting.

Financial Reporting & MIS:

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Prepare and analyze MIS reports for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliations of accounts, journal entries, and balance sheets.
  • Coordinate with internal auditors and handle audit queries.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Prepare cost audit reports as per regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate cost records and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
  • Present a fair and transparent financial view of the company.

Coordination & Support:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather cost data.
  • Support in planning, organizing, and scheduling project costs.
  • Interact with auditors, vendors, subcontractors, and team members for financial accuracy.
  • Assist in treasury management, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable functions.

Requirements

  • CMA / ICWA qualification or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience in costing, accounting, audit, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
