About the Role

We are seeking a Business Risk Consultant to join our Enterprise Data Risk Management team. In this role, you will play a key part in setting up a new transaction testing function within the team.

As a Business Risk Consultant, you will be responsible for developing a risk-based approach to determine prioritization and cadence of reviews for transaction testing based on regulatory reports, products, and systems.

You will analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and gaps in reported values. You will design and prepare review reports summarizing the approach, testing methodology, and outcomes.

In addition, you will perform data management controls testing across regulatory reports to validate overall control design and operational effectiveness. Staying abreast of changes in banking regulations and reporting requirements is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a risk-based approach to prioritize and schedule transaction testing reviews.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify issues and discrepancies.
  • Design and prepare review reports detailing the approach, methodology, and outcomes.
  • Perform data management controls testing to ensure effective control design and operation.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing banking regulations and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in regulatory reporting, audit, compliance, or risk management within the banking or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
