Design Specialist - Public Health

This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on project development work, production, and liaison with colleagues. You will mentor and coach junior team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to project delivery.

  • Carry out designs to required standards and quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and statutory obligations.
  • Coordinate with technical teams regarding project requirements and timelines, facilitating collaboration and effective communication across departments.
  • Ensure all designs meet required standards, adhering to industry best practices and company policies.
  • Support project submittals and NOC process, providing timely and accurate updates to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with relevant technical developments, applying new knowledge and skills to improve project outcomes and enhance professional growth.
  • Understand contract and scope of project deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Embed Health & Safety into work practices, promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the organization.
  • Meet statutory and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide regular updates to line manager, ensuring transparency and accountability in project delivery.
  • Attend team and project meetings, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to delivery of business unit strategy, aligning project outcomes with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure QMS and project lifecycle compliance, maintaining adherence to quality management systems and project governance frameworks.
  • Complete accurate timesheets, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of hours worked and project activities.
  • Provide feedback on business development opportunities, identifying potential areas for growth and improvement.

Requirements include:

  • M.Tech/M.E./B.Tech/B.E (Civil/Mechanical/Env.) or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in public health building services designs, demonstrating expertise and competence in this field.
  • PHE System knowledge, ensuring understanding of relevant systems and technologies.
  • 3-7 years of experience in a similar role, showcasing a strong track record of achievement and professional growth.
  • Excellent client relationships, built on trust, respect, and effective communication.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills, facilitating collaboration and effective working relationships across departments.
  • Commercial acumen, ensuring sound financial management and decision-making.
  • Technical capability and delivery, demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality results and meet project deadlines.
  • Adaptability and learning, showcasing a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and challenges.
