Public Health Engineer Role

The role involves working with a design team in India on exciting new projects and collaborating with an international team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Agreeing and monitoring the scope of work with senior engineers.
  • Providing public health engineering calculations, selecting systems and equipment.
  • Reviewing and monitoring the production of calculations, including QA, technical reviews, and sign-off.
  • Coordinating project contract documents, reviewing input from team members.
  • Dealing with day-to-day queries from the WSP India ZA Team, ensuring relevant information is available for construction activity.
  • Reporting to the WSP India and Switzerland Team on any variances between constructed works and design intent.
  • Preparing MEP 3D Revit coordinated models.
  • Responsible for modeling public health (plumbing & drainage) and fire protection systems.
  • Clash detection and clash resolution.
  • Creating parametric Revit families.
  • Providing specialist support to design teams, preparing analysis and design models.
  • Supporting design teams and bid teams with 3D visualizations.
  • Preparing quantities for BOQs from the 3D model.
  • Managing QA & QC activities of international projects.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in REVIT MEP, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Navisworks, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of property and building sector projects delivery.
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues at a senior level.
  • Ability to plan and manage workload, think laterally.

Required qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Three to six years of relevant work experience.
  • Comprehensive experience in technical design, drafting, and modeling production, with associated discipline software.
