
Senior Public Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Officer to support our health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Situational Analysis
- Develop situation assessment reports to enhance understanding of Health Indicators in line with National Health Policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Conduct research in various project themes supported by NGOs.
- Design and implement research protocols including needs assessments, baseline/midline/endline studies, operational research, and evaluation across health projects.
- Consult with technical partners, academic institutions, and field teams for coordinated data collection and quality assurance.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and data privacy norms during data collection processes.
- Analyze statistical and thematic data; translate findings into meaningful insights and program recommendations.
- Publish research reports, policy briefs, white papers, and case studies for internal and external dissemination.
- Project Monitoring
- Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress, ensuring implementation aligns with approved strategies.
- Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of health projects at the location level.
- Collaborate with partner organizations to ensure operationalization of projects.
- Foster coordination and support for day-to-day functions across projects and themes.
- Evaluate program impact, incorporating themes such as Education, Skill & Livelihoods, Environment, and Gender & Inclusion.
- Document best practices and maintain comprehensive dashboards for national and location-level health programs.
- Trend important indicators at the national level.
- Budget Oversight
- Monitor progress against both programmatic and budgetary targets, adjusting as necessary.
- Submit timely progress reports and ensure utilization of approved budgets allocated to health partners.
- Communications Strategy
- Enhance health program visibility through social media platforms.
- Maintain ethical requirements for pictures, videos, and BCC materials.
- Coordinate volunteer engagement activities with HCLFoundation supported NGOs and HCLTech volunteers.
- Maintain a database of volunteer activities and hours generated.
- Conduct floor walks with business account volunteers to ensure effective engagement.
- Core Public Health Expertise
- 4-5 years of progressive work experience in core public health domains like Research, epidemiology, demography, health economics, health/hospital/pharmaceutical systems management, and population studies.
- Strong grounding in research methodologies, statistical tools, and data visualizations.
- Demonstrated experience in operationalizing health programs, monitoring and evaluation, budget management, and strengthening state, district, block level health systems.
- Familiarity with National Health programs, health system strengthening, or thematic focus such as NCDs, RMNCHA, TB, or mental health is desirable.
- Strong people skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver on time, independently, and present work at various forums.
- Experience in managing complex and time-sensitive processes.
