Job Opportunity

The role of the Principal Engineer involves responsibility for engineering, design, and modification activities related to mechanical equipment, vessels, and tanks, as well as piping systems. This encompasses equipment and piping specifications and procurement. The position may also involve support for installation and operation & maintenance of equipment.

The discipline includes air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, combustion, heat transfer, energy, power, fuels, propulsion, machinery, tools, manufacturing, fluids, plumbing, fire suppression systems and devices, water supplies and pumping systems for fire protection.

This discipline requires the ability to solve problems that deliver and optimize safe, sustainable, and ethical solutions for the design, production, and operation of devices, machines, structures, processes, and systems involving mechanical elements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applies public health engineering principles, techniques, and methods to the planning and design of building services projects.
  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Utilizes expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepares technical specification sections.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience working in Mechanical Engineering design.
  • Experience in the UK & UAE Building projects.
  • Familiarity with designing for Health Care, residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors.
  • Experience in the design of Public Health Engineering (PHE).
