Software Development Role

This position focuses on delivering comprehensive software solutions, involving analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, along with hands-on experience in Mainframe application development.

Key areas of responsibility include analyzing business requirements, designing and developing applications, participating in the complete SDLC, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining existing applications to improve performance, security, and functionality.

Mandatory skills and qualifications include 8+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development, 3+ years of practical experience in COBOL programming, solid experience with DB2, and strong knowledge of JCL.

Additional skills include familiarity with version control and issue tracking tools, knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting and Linux Admin, and proficiency in ORACLE PLSQL.

  • Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications using various technologies.
  • Participating in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and project managers in an Agile environment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments.
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing applications.
  • Developing and executing unit tests, integrating solutions, and providing detailed documentation.
