Lead Mainframe Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe Application Developer to lead the development and support of complex mainframe applications across critical risk and business platforms.
- Lead analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of complex mainframe application enhancements and support solutions in COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, REXX, and Easytrieve.
- Provide technical support for business-critical applications and participate in system development projects of moderate to high complexity, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable technical solutions.
- Maintain and enhance systems using advanced programming languages and tools, ensuring quality code delivery to DEV, UAT, and PROD environments with complete documentation.
- 6+ years of hands-on mainframe development and automation experience, with expertise in project management tools, version control, and full SDLC.
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS DB/DC, VSAM, REXX, Easytrieve, and experience with Script automation using REXX and Data extraction/reporting with Easytrieve.
- Strong communication and client management skills, with proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor junior staff, and manage concurrent priorities.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a focus on mainframe technologies, tools, and trends.
