Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality product documentation that meets the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, as well as experience with MadCap Flare. You will work closely with product managers and subject matter experts to gather project information and schedule delivery deadlines.

You will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, writing, and translating product documentation in compliance with established guidelines and standards. Additionally, you will prepare charts, graphics, and screen captures to illustrate material, and generate documentation for print and online help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, organize, write, and translate product documentation
  • Work with product managers and subject matter experts to gather project information
  • Schedule delivery deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Prepare charts, graphics, and screen captures to illustrate material
  • Generate documentation for print and online help
  • Use MadCap Flare for writing and editing documentation
  • Develop storyboarding scripts for 2-min videos and tutorials
  • Provide writing, editing, and design support to other team members

Requirements / Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in MadCap Flare
  • Experience in technical design, layout, and production concepts and practices
  • Understanding of topic-based writing and ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Knowledge of XML, HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledge of version control system (GitLab, SVN)
  • Skill to produce videos using Camtasia and any relevant graphic tools
