As a Data Platform Engineering Lead, you will architect and scale the core data foundation behind our enterprise SaaS and AI-driven products. We are seeking a hands-on leader who can design clean, scalable models, drive data platform strategy, and enable a high-velocity product development culture.This role requires strong leadership skills to lead the design of a robust semantic layer and modular dbt pipelines. You will also own schema design, documentation, and data contracts across the analytics and application layer. Additionally, you will define and enforce data platform best practices, versioning, and governance for all data models.We are looking for someone with deep experience designing and maintaining normalized and dimensional data models. Advanced expertise in dbt (macros, packages, tests, modularization, docs) is required. Expertise in SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL, is also essential. Strong Python scripting for transformation logic and automation is necessary.You will collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ship reliable data-backed features. Mentorship of a growing team of engineers and participation in architecture planning and reviews are also expected.The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles. A proven track record with tools in the modern data stack, including dbt, PostgreSQL, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Great Expectations, Fivetran, and Terraform, is necessary.A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
