About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee the technical strategy and execution of our cybersecurity platform. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will build and scale a high-performing team, drive the development of secure software products, and establish best practices in engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and execution of the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals and objectives
  • BUILDING AND LEADING A HIGH-PERFORMING ENGINEERING TEAM WITH THE SKILLS AND CAPACITY TO DELIVER OUR PRODUCT ROADMAP
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of secure software products that meet customer needs
  • Establish and enforce best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Making informed technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Setting and tracking engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards to protect our customers and reputation
  • Staying ahead of emerging technologies and innovations to bring value to our customers

Key Deliverables within the First 12 Months

  • Build and lead an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers with the skills and capacity to deliver our product roadmap
  • Deliver the minimum viable product (MVP) release of Visiblaze IQ and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Establish secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Define and document engineering best practices and architecture standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality through data-driven decision making

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience with at least 4+ years of hands-on development
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in engineering management, team building, and delivery
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering SaaS products, cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance preferred
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams
  • Experience with monitoring & logging tools, Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch
  • Exposure to compliance-driven environments, SOC 2, ISO 27001
  • Understanding of security best practices for SaaS products
