About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our Alexa Communications team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of voice-enabled technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert in systems availability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Work directly with our development teams to identify and resolve primary causes of service impacting issues.
  • Develop internal tools, primarily in Ruby or Java, to improve support-related processes and automated incident resolution.
  • Balance support/ops requests with software development or systems engineering work.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
  • Experience in Unix.
  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS, networks, and operating systems.
