Job Title: Senior Power Plant Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Plant Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of our power plant equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal cost.

As a Senior Power Plant Engineer, you will have a high level of understanding of technical knowledge of plant equipment and processes. You will also possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage shop-floor workforce and executive staff effectively.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in power plant maintenance, with a strong background in electrical systems, substations, and MV power distribution systems. You will also have expertise in operating and maintaining steam and gas turbine driven generators, switchyards, HT/LT transformers, and other electrical equipment.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the availability of all electrical equipment at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment within the plant.
  • Enhancing the knowledge and skills of self and others through continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • At least 3-7 years' hands-on experience in power plant maintenance.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of electrical systems, substations, and MV power distribution systems.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining steam and gas turbine driven generators and switchyards.
  • HT/LT transformers, HT/LT panels, HT/LT motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • SAP-based material management, planning, and maintenance.
  • Computer applications for day-to-day report generation and maintenance records.

Functional Skills:

  • Basics of electrical engineering.
  • Leadership quality to manage shop-floor workforce and executive staff.
  • High level of coordination and cooperation skill.

Totals Years of Experience and Educational Qualification:

At least 3-7 years hands-on experience in power plant maintenance with B.E./B.Tech in Electrical.
