Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, installation, management, and maintenance of equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical knowledge of plant equipment and processes, standard maintenance practices of chemical plants, and latest developments in equipment technology.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing online analyzers, reviewing control system spares, working on optimization and consolidation of all systems, and providing technical support to field instrument staff.

Apart from these responsibilities, you will also coordinate and supervise instrumentation and controls section technicians to provide complete maintenance service to the operations department, perform installation, maintenance, testing, and repair for units on site, including preparation of schedules and establishment of work priorities.

This is a challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage shop floor workforce and executive staff effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • To carry out failure analysis for instrument and system failures and suggest remedial actions
  • To eliminate repetitive failures through case study and root cause analysis and reliability improvement plan
  • To troubleshoot, monitor equipment performance, contribute to design and review of modifications proposals to utilize unexplored capabilities of the system
  • To review materials, manpower, and contract labor to ensure day-to-day maintenance, preventative maintenance, and turnaround works are carried out to minimize unit downtime
  • To design, develop, install, manage, and/or maintain equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes
  • To design and implement online analyzers by determining plant requirements, developing specifications, installing the analyzers, and evaluating impact
  • To review control system spares, work on optimization and consolidation of all systems, and provide technical support to field instrument staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • BE / B. Tech Instrumentation Engineering degree
  • Total 4-8 years hands-on experience in handling instrumentation systems in continuous chemical/petrochemical plants
