Accounting Leader Opportunity

The Accounting Manager position offers a chance to take on a pivotal role in overseeing core functions, including billing, general accounting, and accounts receivable.

This leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can blend technical accounting expertise with operational leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage monthly and quarterly close processes in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Review and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain and update close calendars and monitor team task completion to optimize productivity.
  • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors to ensure seamless audits.
  • Billing Oversight & Controls:
    • Oversee customer billing, including transportation, warehouse, and specialty services.
    • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and revenue recognition per ASC 606 standards.
  • Accounts Payable Management:
    • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, approvals, and payments.
  • Fixed Asset Accounting:
    • Oversee fixed asset accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
  • System & Process Improvement:
    • Leverage ERP systems to automate workflows and improve data accuracy.
  • Collaboration & Quality Control:
    • Partner with HR, Operations, and Sales to ensure cohesive and accurate financial reporting.
    • Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory standards.
