Job Overview

The role of a Finance Manager is critical in supporting the company's financial backbone, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for accounting operations, working closely with all areas of the company to drive efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including US and India GAAP and local tax requirements.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with established standards.
  • Manage vendor invoices, record payments, and ensure tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with external accountants to complete statutory audits and due diligence processes.

Financial Analysis and Process Set Up:

  • Provide strategic support to the executive team in assessing the financial impact of new initiatives.
  • Oversee the development of financial accounting systems to maintain reporting specifications.
  • Coordinate, administer, and control financial operations to drive business growth.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports to inform decision-making.

People / Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead a team of accounting professionals, guiding them in controllership functions and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Establish a strong service culture, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction continuously.
  • Cash management, including daily cash positioning, multi-currency fund transfers, and coordination with banks for timely settlements.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Essential skills include proficiency in MS Office, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks, as well as a deep understanding of India and US GAAP accounting principles and procedures. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities are also required.

Experience required:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Overall experience of about 4-6 years is required.
  • Experience working at a funded start-up for 2+ years is nice to have.
