Job Title: Business Finance Manager

The Financial Strategist is responsible for providing actionable financial insights to drive business outcomes and performance.

This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial goals and operational strategy, focusing on profit maximization and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present financial models to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, marketing, and product teams on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy and transparency.
  • Analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and business drivers, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and management reports, visualizing complex financial data.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies, implementing process improvements.
  • Monitor spends and ensure alignment with financial targets, maintaining a high level of accountability.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management, presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct business case analysis, ROI modeling, and scenario planning to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CPA/CFA is an asset).
  • 3+ years of experience in business finance, FP&A, with a strong focus on analytical skills and technical expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of operational metrics, with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, with a high level of clarity and concision.
  • Experience in similar industry is an asset, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitive landscape.
