Job Title: Ignition SCADA

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Ignition SCADA expert to join our team.

The successful candidate will design, configure, and deploy Ignition SCADA and MES applications for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and implementing real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of OT systems, PLC, SCADA, MES with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud.
  • Developing and maintaining secure and efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Managing industrial databases, SQL historian, timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Providing technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, including Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, scripting module configuration, and project deployment.
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards, ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications, Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
