Job Title: Strategic Financial Director

This is a high-impact role with end-to-end ownership across strategic financial planning and analysis, business finance, internal controls, compliance, reporting, and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Develop comprehensive quarterly and annual budgeting plans that align with company growth goals and margin targets using advanced data analytics tools.
  • Build robust forecasting models for revenue, costs, and cash runway to inform key business decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze key SaaS metrics such as LTV, CAC, NRR, payback period, contribution margins, and ROI on marketing spends to drive data-driven insights.
  • Conduct variance analysis, scenario planning, and cost-benefit assessments to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial input during strategic planning sessions and other significant business decisions.
Cash Flow Management:
  • Manage cash flow to support business continuity and growth by optimizing working capital and the cash conversion cycle.
  • Monitor monthly cash runway and raise early alerts to leadership to ensure timely adjustments.
  • Implement AI-led process improvements to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
Reporting & Compliance:
  • Own monthly management information systems (MIS), board decks, and leadership updates to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Lead audit closures and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and statutory filings.
  • Maintain internal controls and risk management processes to mitigate potential threats.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Develop and mentor a strong finance team across functions to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Encourage an AI-first mindset and promote continuous learning and professional development.
Process setup and continuous improvement:
  • Design and institutionalize scalable, tech-enabled workflows across entities to drive automation and efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, AI practices, and regulatory changes to inform process improvements.
