Strategic Transition Director

This role is part of Business Operations BU, within Global Hub Operations and Transitions Management organization. The position reports to the Transition Lead.

The team manages Business Operations transitions to deliver the BO strategic roadmap. This role provides project leadership to implement strategic transition initiatives and manages transitions to deliver value in end-to-end processes.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop drive transition plan(s) at the right level, identifying sequence of activities, durations, dependencies, milestones, deliverables, resources, etc
• Manage and report on actual progress against plan, providing regular visibility to overall project status (accomplishments, next steps, issues, risks, action items, interdependencies, etc)
• Facilitate/lead transition and transversal meetings and/or workshops as required, typically involving cross-functional teams at the global and/or regional level
• Prioritize, challenge, and resolve issues and proactively identify/manage transition risks (Risk Assessments)
• Communicate and interact with all levels of management, manage multiple transitions and priorities across the team and be a hands-on contributor to prioritize and organize effectively to make decisions and solve problems
• Effectively plan for, secure, and lead internal external resources, provide direction, guidance, and oversight of transition team resources. Forecast and track project financials (costs/benefits), securing funds and/or contracts as necessary
• Ability to develop Request for Proposal (RFI/P), Statements of Work (SOW), review/challenge vendor responses, and effectively partner with selected external business partners/experts
• Define lead the change management components to increase employee adoption and utilization (stakeholder impact management, communications, training, etc)
• Monitor progress of transition for business value (benefits planned vs. actual), document lessons learned and best practices, and close out transitions summarizing achievements improvements
• Represent the Transition Hubs interests in collaborating with global/regional program managers, business partners, etc to define Core Model processes/systems/applications, rollout approach methods, and solve complex issues to simplify, standardize/harmonize, and improve end-to-end processes
• Continue developing subject matter expertise in the discipline of transition change management, collaborating with regional/global peers

About You

Experience:

• 10+ years experience
• Proven experience in transitions or consultancy in shared services sector
• Operational experience with processes is a plus
• Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and experience leading applying their principles and governance processes to projects
• Experience in Change Management methodologies with demonstrated experience in incorporating Change Management practices into project planning (Communication plans, assessing impact to users, creating plans to ease implementations, etc)
• Proven track record of project oversight

• Ability to develop high-quality presentations

Technical Skills:

• Programs, Project and/or Change Management certification (e.g. MSP, PMP, Prosci) is a plus
• Agile certification (e.g. Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc) is a plus
• Knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies - Certifications in these areas a plus
• Education: bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a business or project management related field
• Languages: Fluent in English (minimum of strong B2 level required)
