Strategic Portfolio Manager

About the Role:

This strategic role involves conducting in-depth research and analysis to identify new product opportunities in emerging markets. The selected candidate will provide critical insights to support portfolio selection committee decisions and strategy planning, ensuring alignment with our growth objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Product Opportunity Identification: Utilize secondary market data to understand available opportunities across therapies in small molecules space, considering medical and marketing feasibility.
  • Comprehensive Analysis: Preliminary IP landscaping of products respecting patents globally, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Business Case Development: Develop and update business cases for proposed products in the portfolio selection meeting.
  • Market Tracking: Continuously track market updates, including label expansions, competition entry, safety warnings, quarterly sales, and API supplier information for selected products.
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis to remain up-to-date with market trends and stay competitive.
  • Entry Channel Exploration: Identify new entry channels for the company through in-licensing and other opportunities to drive business growth.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • IP Landscape Expertise: Strong understanding of IP landscape in pharma across markets.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Good understanding of pharma regulatory requirements in US, EU, and Emerging markets.
  • Formulation Selection Understanding: Good understanding of formulation selection process, including medical uniqueness, commercial forecast, and fitment with our technical capabilities.
  • Data Platforms Familiarity: Familiarity with data platforms such as IQVIA, Corelli's, IPD analytics, and Global data.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical skills with command in Excel and PowerPoint, along with good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Education and Work Experience:

M. Pharm/M.Sc Chemistry/MBA (preferably from Tier I Institute/University) and 3-5 years of experience in Portfolio, Strategy, and/or IPM roles.
