FinStrat Management, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to lead our Fund Administration division in providing top-notch client service delivery for venture capital and private equity funds.

This is a full-time, remote role with unlimited vacation time and ongoing education and training opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in fund accounting, administration, and financial reporting, as well as excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships and deliver exceptional service, including quarterly/annual financial close, reconciliation of accounts, and G/L analysis.
  • Oversee journal entries, ensure accuracy, and manage back-office finance functions (A/R, A/P, payroll, etc.).
  • Prepare quarter-end reporting packages, including financial statements, and lead annual financial reporting process and audit coordination.
  • Take ownership of investor communication, onboarding, and documentation, as well as intercompany transactions.
  • Identify engagement matters and communicate them to clients, managers, and partners, while driving best practices and ensuring processes are robust and followed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CFA and/or CPA preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and fund administration software essential.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting abilities.
  • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
