Tax Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned Direct Tax Strategist to spearhead our tax strategy and compliance efforts. This critical role requires a deep understanding of Indian direct tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and audit handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement direct tax strategies to optimize our tax position.
- Research, interpret, and apply relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Prepare and review direct tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Manage tax audits and coordinate responses and documentation for tax authorities.
- Advise internal teams on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Monitor changes in direct tax laws and assess their business impact.
- Identify tax saving opportunities while minimizing tax liabilities and risks.
- Provide guidance and training to finance and business teams on direct tax matters.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian direct tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and handling tax audits.
- Strong research and analytical skills to interpret complex tax legislation.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in mentoring or guiding junior finance professionals.
