Job Title: Patient Billing Coordinator

The role of a Patient Billing Coordinator is to ensure smooth billing operations in our healthcare facility. This involves coordinating with patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and facilitate timely payments.

Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Confirm patient eligibility and obtain required documents prior to admission\
  • Prepare pre-authorization forms and submit them to the insurance company\
  • Update patient records and IP folios based on activity sheet entries\
  • Compile investigation reports and supporting documents for charges\
  • Maintain TPA status and outstanding bills submitted\
  • Responsible for all billing-related reports and daily collection reports\
  • Cordinate with TPA for final authorization and ensure within TAT\
  • Ensure no billing delays during discharge of patients\
  • Share Discharge TAT daily for every discharge - cash/cashless\
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date billing records\
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues and improve processes\
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry standards related to billing and insurance\\
