Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Purchase Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating vendors/suppliers for various materials and equipment.

  • Identify and evaluate vendors/suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and project-related materials such as steel, cement, paints, water treatment chemicals, pipes & fittings, valves, flow meters, hardware & factory consumables.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in line with project requirements and company policies.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Coordinate with project, design, and site teams to understand technical requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to avoid project delays.
  • Maintain vendor database, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Follow up with suppliers for order acknowledgment, dispatch details, and logistics tracking.
  • Prepare purchase reports, MIS, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Support procurement planning, budgeting, and inventory control for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safety standards.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes in EPC/Projects/Water Industry.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/materials.
  • Vendor development and supplier relationship management.
  • Negotiation and cost optimization skills.
  • ERP/Procurement software knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
