Desktop Support Specialist

Our organization seeks a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills and strong communication abilities.

Job Summary:

The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality support to internal and external customers, resolving application and hardware issues, and escalating complex problems to senior technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve desktop, laptop, workstation, and server-related issues using industry-leading tools and techniques.
  • Incident Management: Effectively manage incidents from receipt to resolution, utilizing ticketing systems and documenting all interactions with customers.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay up-to-date on the latest software and hardware developments, sharing knowledge with colleagues through training sessions and workshops.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network administrators and software developers, to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve existing processes, implementing new methods to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Windows OS, macOS, iOS, Linux, and Ubuntu operating systems.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting, repair, and replacement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
  • Professional experience with SMT, CMDB, and EDMT tools.
  • Knowledge of Bosch projects and specifications.
