Job Title: IT Technical Specialist

Job Summary:

Provide expert technical assistance and support to global employees, ensuring timely operational and technical expertise for personal computers and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure prompt and effective troubleshooting, resolution, and documentation of all problems and service requests.
  • Develop detailed documentation of installation and configuration procedures for standard and non-standard software packages.
  • Manage the deployment and rollout of software and hardware solutions.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of client assets and equipment.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base to support users.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to ensure network asset security and compliance.
  • Update the problem management database with timely and meaningful information.
  • Assist in the deployment of desktop PCs and peripherals, including setup and testing.
  • On-board new employees with a thorough orientation to computer assets and systems.
  • Respond to voice mail and email messages daily, providing timely and professional communication.
  • Develop working knowledge of all desktop applications and operating system software supported by Desktop Services.
  • Troubleshoot and assist in the use of all supported software applications.

Requirements:

  • Internship or degree in Computer Science or related field, preferably with a focus on technical support.
  • 2+ years experience in Desktop and/or Helpdesk support, with a proven track record of technical expertise.
  • Prior work-related experience with current standard desktop software (Microsoft Office, Windows).
  • Fluent in English, with additional languages being a plus.
  • Experience in working with international clients across various regions and time zones.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office applications, with knowledge of SAP being an asset.
  • Experience with Desktop or Helpdesk support is highly valued.
