Job Description:

Director of Engineering

We are seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to join our India-based Engineering organization. As a technology leader, you will help scale and build the next generation of platform and services/products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire and develop great talent while building a solid engineering organization that thrives on execution, innovation, and learning.
  • Deliver products that delight customers while managing the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt.
  • Champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a frictionless high-quality development environment.
  • Dive deep into technology and be on the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and strategies.
  • Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices, automated test strategies, and work toward flattening the cost of change curve for our software products and services.
  • Prioritize great user experiences and be a partner to product management and engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of combined software development & management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years hands-on software development or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years managing software organizations over 25 people or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and leading 25+ size global engineering teams in India while collaborating heavily with teams based in the US and other global locations.
  • Demonstrated track record of innovating on v1 products - driving them from ideation to usage by millions of users in a startup-like environment.
