The company is seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist to lead its policy and regulatory efforts.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining law and regulations, with experience in policy development and implementation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement mining policies and procedures aligned with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Stay updated with changing mining laws and regulations, adapting policies to remain compliant and competitive.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local authorities.
  • Represent the company in discussions with government officials and advocate for favorable policies and regulations.
  • E nsure full compliance with all relevant mining laws, environmental regulations, safety standards, and community engagement requirements.
  • Collaborate with local communities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure responsible mining practices and foster positive relationships.
  • Work closely with environmental experts to develop and implement strategies for responsible mining practices, reclamation, and environmental stewardship.
  • Identify potential regulatory risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on compliance, policy developments, and regulatory changes to senior management and relevant authorities.
