Job Title

Hiring for a senior mining professional to lead policy and regulatory affairs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review, and implement mining policies and procedures in alignment with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Stay updated with changing mining laws and adapt policies to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local authorities.
  • Represent the company in discussions with government officials and advocate for favorable policies and regulations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant mining laws, environmental regulations, safety standards, and community engagement requirements.
  • Collaborate with local communities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure responsible mining practices.
  • Work closely with environmental experts to develop strategies for responsible mining practices, reclamation, and environmental stewardship.
  • Identify potential regulatory risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on compliance, policy developments, and regulatory changes to senior management and relevant authorities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in mining policy and regulatory affairs.
  • B. Tech Mining, M. Sc-Geology/Environmental Science or any related degree.
