Director of Higher Education Initiatives

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our higher education initiatives.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to drive strategic partnerships with university leaders, multilateral/bilateral organizations, and other stakeholders in higher education. As Director of Higher Education Initiatives, you will play a key role in shaping our organization's approach to higher education and contributing to its success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thought Leadership/Policy Advocacy work in Higher Education: Develop and implement policies that support the growth and development of higher education institutions.
  • Interface regularly with regulatory bodies, Ministry of Education, and other related ministries/state governments: Build relationships with government agencies and other stakeholders to advance the interests of higher education institutions.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with University leaders, multilateral/bilateral organizations, and other important stakeholders in higher education: Foster collaborations that drive innovation and excellence in higher education.
FICCI Higher Education Committee & Taskforces (TF)
  • Conduct periodic committee meetings under the guidance of Committee leadership: Facilitate discussions and decision-making among committee members.
  • Identify and create small groups of experts/Task Forces to address specific sectoral issues: Assemble teams of experts to tackle complex challenges in higher education.
  • Work with the identified Task Forces (TFs) in developing papers and executing bespoke projects: Collaborate with task forces to develop research papers and implement projects that drive positive change in higher education.
Higher Education Summit (HES)
  • Organize and manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit: Oversee the planning and execution of this premier event in the higher education calendar.
  • Work with the Committee leadership in designing the conference program and identifying national and international partners: Develop a compelling conference program and identify potential partners to enhance the summit's impact.
Projects
  • Work towards identifying/executing projects in the space of industry-academia engagement: Identify opportunities for collaboration between industry and academia, and execute projects that drive mutual benefit.
  • Organize various capacity building programs for faculty and Higher Education Leadership: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of faculty and higher education leaders.
