The role will involve working with predictive modeling to identify trends and patterns in the market, as well as providing support for underwriting and rate actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain predictive models to support underwriting and rate actions
  • Analyze and track market trends, including underwriting and rate actions
  • Assist in line-specific make/model updates and creation of product strategy
  • Facilitate collaboration with other departments to ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines
  • Perform independent research, analysis, and presentation of data as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences
  • Strong command of Excel, MS Office Suite applications, and computer systems
  • Knowledge of data gathering and manipulation techniques and tools such as Access, SQL
  • Strong analytical abilities, including mathematics and statistical concepts
  • Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 4-6 CT actuarial exams
  • Exposure to US general insurance market is preferable
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
