Climate Risk Manager
  • Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Climate Risk Manager to develop and maintain financial models that incorporate climate risk, utilizing industry KPIs and climate-related data.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain industry-level climate transition risk models, analyzing potential financial and operational impacts of climate-related transition risks across industries.
    • Understand modeling and scenarios such as RCPs, SSPs, and NGFS scenarios, conducting scenario analysis to evaluate the effects of different transition pathways on operations, revenue, and asset valuations.
    • Gain understanding of climate physical risk hazards like flood, cyclone, drought, wildfire, extreme temperature etc., and apply this knowledge to inform decision-making.
    • Assist in calculating financed emission calculations to help banks quantify their Scope 3 emissions, leveraging PCAF guidelines.
    • Stay updated on latest regulatory developments and advancements in the climate sector, applying this knowledge to drive business growth.
    • Engage in thought leadership activities, including participating in seminars/conferences, writing articles, and delivering high-impact presentations to clients and internal committees.
    • Support business development activities by developing proposals and collaborating with stakeholders to create value and align with strategic goals.
    • Travel to client sites as required to build strong relationships and drive business results.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining financial models, with a focus on climate risk.
  • Familiarity with industry KPIs and climate-related data, with the ability to analyze and interpret large datasets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
