About the Opportunity:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Property Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property-level accounting operations, including cash management, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and quarterly budget re-projections.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including loan compliance and tax requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax accounting, and IFRS.
  • Experience with TRS (Taxable REIT Subsidiaries) is a plus.
  • Proficient with financial software systems applications and proficiency with Microsoft Windows software programs, MRI experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask and prioritize.
