Technical Support Specialist

The role of the Technical Support Specialist is pivotal in resolving technical issues with desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other equipment. Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware systems, as well as providing remote support to users experiencing technical difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating System Installation: Ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of operating systems across devices.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Assembling, upgrading, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, including diagnosis and repair of faulty components.
  • Software Configuration: Installation, configuration, backup, and troubleshooting of standard applications, including Microsoft Office and other productivity tools.
  • Network Setup: Installation and troubleshooting of network printers, VPN, and firewall configuration, ensuring secure and efficient network connectivity.
  • Security Management: Implementation and management of security protocols, including BitLocker encryption, antivirus updates, and virus protection management.
  • User Account Management: User account creation, password resets, group policy updates, and access control, ensuring accurate and secure user authentication.
  • Remote Assistance: Providing remote assistance for software and system-related issues, utilizing tools such as TeamViewer or GoToAssist.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinating with vendors for hardware issues and maintaining inventory records for hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
