Women's Health Specialist Position

The role of a Women's Health Specialist is multifaceted and demanding, requiring the ability to manage daily operations while providing high-quality patient care.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day operations in the IPD and OT departments, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Conduct OPD sessions with patients, offering counseling and prescriptions as needed.
  • Perform IUI and Sonography procedures under medical protocols.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Doctors and sisters for effective patient care and documentation.
  • Monitor and direct clinical staff, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Respond to emergency situations, calling upon senior gynecologists when necessary.
  • Participate in outreach programs and camps, promoting women's health initiatives.

Surgical Procedures:

  • Scheduled Operations:
  • Perform Operative Procedures (OPU, ET, HLScopy) according to established protocols.
  • Ensure Pre-Operative preparation by OT sisters adheres to the Pre-Op Checklist.
  • Assist or conduct surgeries in the Operating Theater.

Post-Surgery Care:

  • Post-Operative Orders:
  • Issue Post-Operative instructions to Assistant Doctors.
  • Take immediate post-operative rounds, verifying that IPD sisters follow Post-Operative orders.

Documentation and Discharge:

  • Verify software entries recording Post-Operative findings by Sisters and Assistant Doctors.
  • Decide discharge cases, requesting RMOs to prepare discharge papers.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Review documentation against checklists and transfer files to HR.
  • Attend all emergencies, seeking assistance from senior gynecologists if complications arise.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Demonstrate expertise in gynecological procedures and protocols.
  • Show excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectively work within a team environment.
  • Display basic computer skills for documenting patient information.
