About the Role:

Our organization is seeking a senior data professional to drive the development and scaling of our enterprise data foundation.

The ideal candidate will lead the design of clean, scalable models, drive data platform strategy, and foster a high-velocity product development culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust semantic layer and modular dbt pipelines
  • Owning schema design, documentation, and data contracts across the analytics and application layer
  • Defining and enforcing data platform best practices, versioning, and governance for all data models
  • Implementing data testing, observability, and quality automation to ensure confidence at scale
  • Guiding tool selection and platform evolution across the modern data stack
  • Collaborating with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ship reliable data-backed features
  • Mentoring a growing team of engineers and participating in architecture planning and reviews

Data Engineering & Modeling:

We require candidates with 10+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles, along with expertise in designing and maintaining normalized and dimensional data models.

Candidates must have advanced skills in dbt (macros, packages, tests, modularization, docs) and be experts in SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL.

Familiarity with Python scripting for transformation logic and automation is also required.

Data Infrastructure & Tooling:

Proficiency with tools in the modern data stack, including dbt, PostgreSQL, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Great Expectations, Fivetran, Terraform is necessary.

Enterprise Experience:

A background in Oracle 12c, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or NetSuite integrations is desirable, as well as familiarity with ERP/financial schema structures (chart of accounts, ledgers, invoicing).

Leadership & Communication:

Candidates with 6+ years in engineering leadership, architecture, or tech lead roles are required, along with excellent collaboration skills across engineering, product, and analytics.

A strong communicator who can author technical documentation and explain system tradeoffs is essential.
